One day I would love to have an entire room dedicated to getting ready! Wouldn't it be fun to have a room to display all your most beloved clothes and accessories? My dream room would be 100% inspired by Betsey Johnson! I love all the pink, black, and lime green!

.the grownup K O O L A I D.

Last summer I was visiting a friend in Seaside, FL and we went out to dinner at Tommy Bahama. I ordered a glass of their Pomegranate Sangria and fell in love! When I got back to Texas I was craving a glass so I decided to call that same Tommy Bahama and ask for the recipe. They were happy to give it to me but I decided to tweak it and make it my own :)
This is always a crowd pleaser. Every time I make my Sangria I have ladies bribing me for the recipe :) This is perfect for summertime or any event because it needs to be made several hours before or even the day before your shindig.

{SOUTHERN STYLE POMEGRANATE SANGRIA}

INGREDIENTS:
44 oz Red Wine ( I usually use a cabernet )
12 oz Brandy (preferebly the sweetest Brandy you can find)
2 cups orange juice without pulp
2 cups pomegranate juice cocktail
1 can (11.5 oz) peach nectar (I use Kern's Peach Nectar)
1 cup sugar
the juice from 1 lemon and 1 lime

*you will also need 1 orange, 1 green apple,1 lemon and 1 lime sliced

DIRECTIONS:
1.) Mix all ingredients together in an extra large pitcher
2.) Add sliced fruit in with the Sangria (it will probably float on top) and let it marinate for several hours or as long as possible

*After it has chilled and guests are about to arrive, mix/stir it really well. And I like to remove the sliced fruit and add fresh sliced fruit.
* Serve with sugar rimmed glasses filled with a couple of blackberries or rasberries for an extra touch!

.f l o r r i e m i t t o n.

My wedding is getting closer and closer, less than a month to go!!
So today I shopped on the internet for my wedding garter.I didn't want a typical white garter with blue lace yadda yadda. And thats when I found  f l o r r i e  m i t t o n  Couture on etsy.
All the garters are handmade in the UK from original
r o m a n t i c designs.
I snatched this polkadot tulle garter for the BIG day!

Here are some of the other designs to choose from ...

A cinderella kind of day

Since im getting married on the beach, high heels are out of the question. So I found these sandals by Giuseppe Zanotti (below) that a fellow bride wore at her beach wedding. I thought "perfect!!!".. until I saw the price tag :(  From that moment on I have been on a mission to find the perfect sandal with just the right amount of embellishment in a reasonable price range. I searched for DAYS on every website you can imagine and every store in the mall (that part wasn't so bad :) im talking Zappos, Amazon, Neimans, Nordstrom, Saks, Ebay, endless.com (--- the most amazing shoe website ever! it combines every cute shoe on the internet from a million different designers) but I couldn't find   "THE shoes".
So thats when I decided to create my OWN. I grabbed these simple, gold Antonio Melani thong sandals from Dillards...
Then I took them to the fabulous women at BBS, a local Bead Designing Boutique, and showed them the shoes and my picture of the Giuseppe's for inspiration. One week later, and im in L O V E .
These pictures done even come close to doing these sandals justice! I seriously did not want to take them off! They have so much s p a r k l e .

They removed the flower from the front of the sandal and attached jewels, pearls, crystals and other embellishments
.one word.
